La nostra Elena, capostipite delle scammer conosciute dal Falsomagro e motore primario delle inchieste sulle truffe online, ultimamente è poco creativa e fantasiosa: come l’anno scorso dopo l’inverno scampato grazie alla stufa che noi avremmo contribuito a comprare, la primavera non porta buone notizie. Al contrario la crisi economica attanaglia anche la Russia e a fronte di salari praticamente fermi il costo della vita lievita e lei, la figlia Angelina e la vecchia madre, non ce la fanno a tirare avanti.

Non si può dire che non dicano di essere donne intraprendenti: non si sono lasciate scorraggiare dalla crisi e hanno deciso (ma non l’avevano già fatto anche l’anno scorso?) di darsi all’agricoltura, ma sementi e strumenti costano troppo e chiedono un aiutino economico. Il piano sarebbe quello di comprare anche una capra, per avere latte fresco ogni giorno.

Come al solito risponderò conciliante alla nostra Elena, informandola che domani le invio un po’ delle mie sementi e che mi sto informando sui prezzi delle capre della Valdumentina

This year we celebrated Easter in Russia unusually earlier than before.

This winter was very cold in this year, sometimes the temperature was up to minus 30 degrees Celsius and such cold weather stayed for a very long time. But thanks to the portable stove we were able

Our local televison says that financial crisis is finished and the situation is getting to improve. I don’t know if we can believe to this information. My salary in the library is still the same, but I was told that it will be
increased for 10% in the end of this year. I don’t know if it is true, but  we will see.
I don’t know to whom I can believe. In the meantime, the prices for
electricity, gas were increased for almost 30-50%. Our local authorities say
every day on TV that people started to live better,
that the situation is getting better almost every day, but we don’t feel it.

The prices for medicine, food and primary necessities growing without any
control. Our country importing almost 80% of food from foreign countries,
because its own agriculture was totally destroyed during the last 20 years.
Therefore prices for food in our country totally depend from price of US
dollar.

The only way for us to survive is to grow our own vegetables, potatoes and
chicken in our garden. It will provide us with our own food for a long
period of time and we will not be in need to buy it and pay for it the very
expensive prices.
Our dream is to buy a she-goat, but is is very expensive and we cannot
afford it at the moment.

Now I started to prepare the soil in our garden and I hope that the summer
will be warm and everything will grow well.

Unfortunately, everything for the garden is very expensive if I compare it
to my little salary and I’m unable to buy it.

Our situation is very difficult and our possibilities are very limited. I
don’t know what to do. I do know that life is not easy in your country, too,
but I pray in my heart that you can help us.
